FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS A TYPICAL DAY LIKE FOR MY DOG?

The dogs sleep inside in our climate-controlled kennel, which is also our office. We only work with a small number of dogs (four maximum) to give every dog the attention they need while keeping a calm environment. First thing in the morning, all dogs go out on a 45-min to 1-hour long structured walk, followed by treadmill work, and our unique socialization/play time with our balanced pack (client’s dogs will not be in danger of interacting with dangerous dogs). After this, dogs go through several hours of hands-on training, alternating between active commands, duration work, and specific behavior modification. They will also receive plenty of rest, down time, and personal one-on-one attention. You dog’s safety is our primary concern.

WILL I GET TO SEE MY DOG DURING THE BOARD AND TRAIN?

We will determine if owner participation is helpful or hurtful. In most cases, we that find owner participation is counterproductive to the rehabilitation and training process.

I HAVE TRIED OTHER TRAINERS BEFORE AND DIDN'T GET THE RESULTS I WANTED. WHAT MAKES THIS PROGRAM BETTER?

Unlike other programs, we don't just focus on rehursed behaviors - or 'tricks'.  We have developed a unique approach that changes the dog’s state of mind and confidence level. By creating new habits, teaching the dog to make better choices, and training your dog to be calm in hectic situations, we are consistently successful with dogs that other prgams are unable to help.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T GET THER RESULTS I WANT? IS THERE A GUARANTEE?

There are many variables involved in creating a well-behaved, balanced dog- including owner commitment, consistency, and follow-through. With that said, it would be unethical for us to offer a 100% guarantee. However, we only choose the most dedicated and diligent owners - so, in our experience, no matter how severe the issues, we consistently see amazing results. Our process of teamwork and collaboration begins before we even meet your dog, and continues long after your dog has gone home. Once you hire us, we consider you part of our family, and your success is our utmost priority.

MY DOG IS REALLY AGGRESSIVE. DO YOU WORK WITH AGRESSIVE DOGS?

Yes. We specialize in aggression rehabilitation.

MY DOG IS UNCONTROLLABLE WHEN WALKING - PULLING, LUNGING, GROWLING - CAN YOU FIX THIS?

We consistently get great results with these kinds of issues.

DOES REAL LIFE DOG TRAINING USE TREATS TO TRAIN?

Our training approach is relationship-based. We believe that dogs should be working for us, not for food. We use the dog’s kibble in the very early stages of training, but once the dog understands all the commands, the kibble is phased out.

WHY DO YOU USE PRONG COLLARS?

We use prong collars simply because we find them to be the best tool for creating the least amount of physical stress to the dog and owner. Most tools tend to only mask the behavior. The the prong collar allows us to effortlessly communicate, creating a different state of mind for your dog. While prong collars tend to look intimidating, when used correctly they have been proven to be one of the safest tools available.

WHY DO YOU USE E-COLLARS?

Modern E-Collar training is the most effective, most reliable and most humane

training available today.

MY DOG IS FEARFUL AND NERVOUS - I SHOULDN'T USE AN E-COLLAR WITH HIM, RIGHT...?

Actually, modern E-Collar training is the best training for dogs with these types of issues. Our E-Collar training system is designed to create more confident, relaxed, and comfortable dogs.
